What on earth would a football-themed mod be without some themed interface elements? It was time to give that Logitech MX keyboard and mouse duo a work-over. Of course, leather on your mouse may not be to your taste (I know it certainly isn't to mine), so I decided to go with a different approach.


Rather than using a textured paint, I went with the normal airbrushing techniques on the mouse and keyboard. This way, they'd be left with their familiar feel instead of the texture. To do the stitching, I whipped out my handy Dremel and cut on the lines. The scoring leaves enough of a sensation to show it hasn't been glossed over but isn't too distracting.

Topping it all off

The case would actually have two tops, not just one. The end result clearly shows the table football, but that was designed to be able to be lifted off. That meant that what was under the table meant just as much as the table itself - and it was time for a window mod.


Unlike a traditional window mod, I wanted this one to be opaque. It's primary purpose would be to provide light through the table when that's on top, but it also had to show something special in its own right.


I had the perfect image in mind, and had it printed onto a red vinyl sticker. The white window was then fitted to the case roof with machine screws and washers, creating a riveted effect. The final top came out better than I had hoped.
